2 LAPD officers injured in traffic accident in South Los AngelesTwo LAPD officers were injured early Sunday morning in a crash in which another driver in South Los Angeles struck their patrol car.

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Two LAPD officers were injured early Sunday morning in a crash in South Los Angeles.

The incident happened just before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Figueroa Street and Rosecrans Avenue.

Los Angeles police said officers were turning eastbound on Rosecrans when they were struck by another vehicle, causing the vehicle to roll over.

Both officers suffered only minor injuries, but were taken to hospital as a precaution. They were released a short time later.

According to the LAPD, the driver of the other vehicle, a juvenile, was arrested for DUI.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
