HOUSTON, Texas (KTRE) – A Lufkin ISD school bus filled with the high school cheerleading squad was involved in an accident on Sunday.
According to a post by Lufkin ISD, the wreck occurred in Houston while the team was on its way to a competition.
Thirty-four cheerleaders and several adults were on the bus at the time of the accident. According to Lufkin ISD, three students received medical treatment.
Two students have already been released and one student’s condition continues to be monitored.
The school said the cheerleading team was on its way back to Lufkin.
