A South Dakota motorcyclist was killed in a crash in New London

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WFSB) – The person killed in a New London crash Sunday has been determined to be a South Dakota man.

Police said Curtis Barkdull, 45, of Sturgis, S.D., was riding a motorcycle when it collided with two cars.

The incident occurred in the area of ​​Colman and Vauxhall streets, near the entrance to the shopping center, at around 4:45 p.m.

Police reported that all people involved in the incident were injured. A total of four people were transported to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.

Motorcyclist Barkdull was pronounced dead at the hospital.

There is no word on what led to the crash.
