Owners devastated after a car collided with their business in Endicott

ENDICOTT (WBNG) – The owners of the Food & Cafe in Endicott are left reeling after a vehicle crashed into their business.

At around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, owners Zakir Hussain and Gias Mollah were sitting at the table when the vehicle crashed to the side of the building.

No one was injured in the ordeal, but the building at 19 Hayes Ave. was seriously damaged.

The owners say they are doing everything they can to resume operations.

They both said their dream is to be able to serve the community.

“It’s bad. It’s very bad,” Mollah said. “We fought for eight months to open this store. Then we’re here for two weeks and this happens.”

The Endicott Fire Department told 12 News the walls of the building were at risk of collapsing.

An investigation into the causes of the crash is ongoing.
