Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend has dropped her defamation and assault lawsuit

Jonathan Majors and ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari have agreed to put their legal disputes behind them.

As part of a stipulation of release filed Thursday in New York, the duo asked a judge to dismiss Jabbari’s defamation and assault lawsuit filed with prejudice, meaning she cannot file another lawsuit on the matter. No reason was given in the application under consideration Entertainment Weekly.

“Grace Jabbari has shown tremendous courage throughout this very long and difficult trial,” her attorney, Brittany Henderson, said in a statement to EW. “Thanks to her commitment to justice, the lawsuit she filed against Jonathan Majors was successfully resolved. We hope that she will finally be able to put this chapter behind her and move forward with her head held high.”

Attorneys for Majors did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Jabbari, an actor and dancer, filed a lawsuit against the Marvel star in March, accusing him of assault, battery, defamation and infliction of emotional distress. The charges resulted from Art a civil dispute in New York the year beforein which Majors was arrested on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment.

AND Majors ultimately found an inconclusive verdict – who has maintained his innocence throughout – is guilty of one count of assault and one count of molestation. He was sentenced to probation, with no prison time. Majors was also ordered to complete a 52-week personal violence intervention and mental health treatment program.

The Lovecraft country the actor, considered a rising Hollywood star at the time of his arrest, was shunned by his talent manager and publicist after his arrest. He also parted ways with several high-profile projects, including multiple Marvel films that initially featured his Ant-Man villain, Kang the Conqueror.

However, Majors plans to return in the upcoming revenge thriller Merciless from director Martin Villeneuve. He also recently became engaged to an actress and model Meagan Goodwhom he started dating in 2023 due to legal problems.
