Rolla man arrested for trying to lure 13-year-old female decoy

A Rolla man was arrested Friday for allegedly luring a 13-year-old female decoy.

Court documents show that on October 25, the Rolla Police Department (RPD) responded to a reported sex crime.

Upon arrival, officers contacted a member of the Bikers Against Predators organization.

The reporting party provided evidence that 24-year-old David Nathaniel Hadley, who was Rolla, attempted to lure a 13-year-old female decoy via a messaging platform.

According to a probable cause statement, Haldey began sending messages to the decoy on September 12, 2024.

From September to October 25, police reported various communications between the suspect and the decoy juvenile. These messages allegedly include Haldley asking if the decoy likes older men, requesting sexually explicit photos and videos, sending sexually explicit photos and videos of himself, and more.

Court documents also noted that the message sent by Hadley claimed he had previously had sexual relations with three other minors under the age of 13.

At the end of the chain of messages, it was revealed that Hadley allegedly told the 13-year-old decoy to run away from home and stay with him so he could take care of them. Police noted that he then gave the decoy his home address.

After completing a report and turning over evidence to police, RPD arrested Hadley and charged him with abuse or attempted enticement of a child (actor 21 years of age or older and child under 15 years of age).

He was booked into the Phelps County Jail on $250,000 bail.
