Patient arrested after assault at Middlemore Hospital – Police

A man has been arrested following a robbery at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland.

Police said that on Monday around 3:20 p.m. the patient attacked a person in the hospital.

A 23-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted strangulation.

He was due to appear in the Manukau District Court on Tuesday.

Police said they had no update on the victim’s condition.

An event is coming just a few days later A gun was fired in the parking lot of Middlemore Hospital.

Police said the two incidents were unrelated.
