Woman dead, off-duty Addis officer injured in morning crash in Iberville Parish

PLAQUEMINE, La. (WAFB) – Louisiana State Police responded Friday morning to a fatal crash in Plaquemine after a woman lost control of her vehicle and struck a vehicle driven by an off-duty Addis police officer.

The crash happened around 8 a.m. on Belleview Road near Plaquemine High School.

The woman driving the car died on the spot.

The off-duty Addis officer was in his private vehicle at the time and was taken by ambulance to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
