Jennifer Mistry has slammed the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for allegedly refusing to help Gurucharan Singh in his difficult times. Mistry played the role of Singh’s wife in the popular comedy series. However, she left the show in 2023 after Asit Kumarr Modi, project head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj accused him of harassment.

In a recent interview, Mistry talked about Gurucharan’s debt of Rs 1.2 crore and recalled what happened when he once asked her for help. “Gurucharan Singh once asked me for help of Rs 1 lakh to clear his credit card dues. I agreed to give it to him, but later he told me he didn’t want it now. He told me, “I’ll let you know when I need it.” He didn’t call me later. After a few days, he asked me for Rs 17 lakh. Unfortunately, due to financial crisis, I had to use this Rs 1 lakh for personal purposes. I also told him that I didn’t have that amount. I couldn’t help him,” she told Zoom.

Jennifer further questioned the TMKOC makers for not helping Gurucharan and added, “Woh log kisike nahi hai. Only case mein unhone mere liye stand nahi liya toh uske liye kya lenge. Jab meri behen ki death hui thi last year, tabhi kisine mujhe call bhi nahi kiya. They will never help him.”

This came days after Gurucharan Singh’s close friend Bhakti Soni revealed that he had to repay a loan of Rs 1.5 crore. She also claimed that no one, including Singh’s family, helped him during this difficult time.

“He had a debt of around Rs 1.2 crore. However, his father owns property worth Rs 55 crore. Unfortunately, the dispute continues because the tenants do not leave the property. If the matter is resolved and the property is sold, he should be able to repay the loan,” Bhakti told ETimes.

Currently, Gurucharan Singh is also admitted to hospital. We are waiting for detailed information about his health condition.
