Hyderabad: After about a week, the city police made some progress in Afzalgunj’s release.

Investigations and scientific analysis, including examination of surveillance cameras at various locations, revealed that the attackers went to Shamirpet from Trimulgherry in a passenger rickshaw. From there, they escaped to Gajwela in a shared rickshaw.

The police also found that the attackers were traveling in a truck from Gajwel to Adilabad, from where they fled to Bihar via Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the robbers involved in the shooting, identified as Amit and Manish, are believed to have committed other crimes across the country.

The case is being investigated jointly by police from Hyderabad and Bidar.

Special teams have already reached Bihar and Jharkhand in search of the suspects.

Two robbery suspects shot dead two people, including a security guard, in Bidar in neighboring Karnataka on Thursday morning and robbed them of Rs 50. 93 million.

The duo escaped after committing a robbery in Bidar on a bike. They moved out of the neighborhood, abandoned their bike somewhere and took a bus to reach MGBS Hyderabad.

Police during investigation found that the suspects, after reaching the city, alighted from the bus at MGBS station and booked tickets to Raipur from Roshan Travels in Afzalgunj. One of them brought luggage bags and hid cash in them.

When both suspects boarded the bus, manager Jahangir found cash in the bag and asked the suspects about it when one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot at him.
