NEET aspirant dies by suicide in Kota: Body of 24-year-old NEET aspirant found hanging in her hostel room in Rajasthan – Rajasthan News

A 24-year-old student from Gujarat, preparing for NEET, allegedly died by suicide in Kota, Rajasthan, on Wednesday.

This is the fifth such incident this year reported by Kota, a coaching center for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) aspirants.

Police said the incident came to light at 9 a.m. when she did not respond or open the door. After breaking down the door, authorities found the girl’s body hanging from the ceiling fan in her hostel room.

Further investigation will be conducted once the student’s family reaches Kota, police added.

Police noticed that no suicide note had been left in the room.

This event takes place just a week after An 18-year-old NEET aspirant, a resident of Odisha, died by suicide on January 17.

However, this was not the only case of suicide reported in Kota last week. On January 16, a JEE candidate from Odisha was found hanging in his room.

Two weeks ago, two students preparing for JEE committed suicide in the hostel rooms. One belonged to Madhya Pradesh and the other was from Haryana.
