One person dead in SW Beaverton crash

Authorities said one person died after their vehicle struck a pole in southwest Beaverton.

Emergency responders responded around 6:30 p.m. to a report of a crash in a residential area near Southwest Erickson Avenue and Berthold Street, a spokesman for Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue said.

The services have not yet released the name of this person.

The fatal accident occurred a day later the driver died after a car collided with a pole in North Portland, it was Portland’s first road accident this year.
