Former blind child actor Rory Callum Sykes has died at the age of 32 following the Los Angeles fires.

Former actor, widely known for the 1998 television series Kiddy KapersAccording to reports, he was in a secluded beach house in Malibu when it suddenly caught fire.

His death was announced by his mother Shelley, who opened up to him 10 Messages about Sykes’ untimely death. She told the outlet: “I couldn’t put out the ashes on his roof with a hose because the water was cut off. When the fire brigade brought me back, his cottage had been burned to the ground. We will miss him tremendously.”

The desperate mother drove about a quarter of a mile looking for help, unable to reach 911 because of the intensity of the fire.

For the uninitiated, the actor was born with cerebral palsy, which proves why he was blind from birth.

Shelley explained that her late son “overcame so much” during his life, including “therapy to regain his sight and learn to walk.”

On the professional front, Sykes shot to fame when he hosted the British for the first time RTV program broadcast in 1998-1999.
