2 arrested for the allegedly attacking man with a brick in Geylang, Singapore News

Two men were arrested for alleged assault on a man with a brick in Geylang.

The police were notified of the incident that took place in Lorong 21 Geylang on Tuesday (February 4) at 9 am, according to a statement published on Wednesday.

Two people, aged 21 and 22, allegedly used a brick to attack a 43-year-old man.

The victim was transferred to the General Hospital of Changa after finding many fractures on the face and abrasions on the body.

Officers from the Bedok Police Department used photos from CCTV and police cameras to identify suspects and arrested them within 11 hours of the report.

Two men will be accused in court on Thursday of a crime of voluntary causing a serious injury with dangerous means of a common intention.

If he is convicted, the suspects face the conditions of prison up to 15 years. They can also be asleep and/or fines.

“The police have zero tolerance for such insolent acts of violence and I will not hesitate to take action against those who will ignore the law grossly,” the police said.
